Alabama’s quarterbacks Walter Lewis and Don Jacobs were the heroes of the 1980 Iron Bowl, together bringing in five touchdown drives. Coach Bryant stated that the three biggest plays to his team’s comeback in the fourth quarter were audibles, two of them resulting in TD‘s. He said, “ The quarterbacking on those three plays was excellent.”
