GRANT'S MARKET - Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Daniel A. Moore created University Market during his senior year at Alabama as a project for a painting class. This acrylic on canvas depicts the quaint Grant’s University Market on 10th Street (now Paul W. Bryant Drive), in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Since the 1970’s, the store’s name has been changed and the distinct crimson and white striped storefront is just a memory. However, the building still stands just one block from Bryant-Denny stadium.
