Daniel A. Moore created Victory Ride in anticipation of Coach Bryant's 315th victory. After reaching the milestone in December of 1981 against Auburn, the scene was so chaotic that players were unable to hoist the new crowned winningest coach in College Football. The moment was commemorated with The Coach and 315.
